Facilitator certification course in Kampala, Uganda, May 05

Uganda, May 2005

The first thing that met us in Kampala was the “new” Apict-car with a private parking space outside the training centre in the old Postel building - very impressive!

In the picture you see Jette Risgaard (assistant trainer from UNI-C) and John Kiiza, responsible for the project in Uganda.

Lunch was served in a local restaurant just opposite the training centre. We are sitting outside – the temperature in Kampala is around 25°C all year and very pleasant. The amount of food at lunch was always what we call: enough and a little extra!

Jessica and Barbara discussing during one of the sessions.

Hanifah, Stephen and Stella working very concentrated on their first module assignment.

From the training sessions. The participants look a little tired, so probably it is a session just after lunch.

During the closing ceremony, Jessica gave a presentation based on her second module assignment about school development. The representative from the Ministry of Education (to the left) was very impressed by her enthusiasm.

In the streets you are never alone! In most of the trees Marabous are nesting and they produce enormous "birdy-nams-nams". It is not funny to be hit by them!

This has nothing to do with the facilitator training;-)
But in the streets we found this fabulous mixture of a mobile phone and a phone booth.
