Facilitator course in Budapest, June 2005

Budapest, June 2005

24 (+ a few extra) teachers, who were all members of module localiser teams, participated in the Hungarian First Facilitator Certification session.

The Facilitator Certification seminar was held at the Microsoft Computer Lab in Eötvös Lorand University in June 2005.

Two EPICT trainers conducted the session: Ulla Gjørling and Frank Bach Jensen from UNI-C.

The facilitators’ certification course lasted four days during which participants wrote module assignments, gave response and feedback to each other, and discussed the concept and possible problems during courses.

The session differed from other facilitator certification session in the way that we had interval interpretation during the entire seminar. Fortunately three participants were excellent interpreters and translated everything the trainers said into Hungarian.

As described above not all participants were sufficiently skilled in English to attend English-spoken sessions. This was solved by having three participants take turns interpreting.

But - what do you do when it is time to write assignments? The three participants who are fluent in English could not help more than 20 other participants and write their own assignments at the same time …

Well, you bring your teenage daughter or son and a good dictionary! Thank you boys and girls - you did great!
